Tempo di Libertà – Enrica Toce
On Saturday the 29th of April, at 5 pm, Enrica Toce’s solo exhibition “Tempo di Libertà” was inaugurated at the Borgo Pio Art Gallery, in via degli Ombrellari 2 – Rome.
The event, curated by the art critic Monica Ferrarini – Associazione M.F.eventi, had the moral patronage of the Regione Lazio, the I Municipio Roma Centro and the associations FIDAPA BPW Italy section Ara Pacis and Donne & Società.
“Enrica Toce’s painting constantly looks for new revelations, where nothing is left to chance, starting with the titles that evoke the classical world, the philosophical thought of ancient Greece, the knowledge of the classical civilisations conceived as tool for spiritual renewal and existential quest. Her canvases reflect an emotional universe where color combines with the sign, reaching contemplative scenarios that are shaped through a chromatic variety that captures introspection and reflection. It’s a creative path that complex and complete, that hints at the need to put on her subjects a new character and a constant tension towards a content that’s exclusive, able to create a deep visual contact with the observer. The Artist lives the pictorial process as a means to analyze and understand her deepest aspects, as an act of pure freedom that has no other manifestation if not through the creative expression that allows her to see “beyond”. It’s an explorative and intuitive approach, based on the never-ending quest for answers that are hidden behind the superficial layer of the daily experience. Hence, each canvas is a reflection of interiority, visible and shareable shape of our own reality, discovery of our internal processes, of the mind, the observations, the lived, that the Artist communicates through her own perceptive and expressive senses, allowing the observer to come in touch with her artworks, tasting that energy through the visual experience…”
