Free Thoughts
On Thursday, July 4 at 6:00 PM, the prestigious Villa Paolina in Viareggio hosted the inauguration of the group exhibition of contemporary art “Free Thoughts”.
The event, curated by art critic Monica Ferrarini, was held under the moral patronage of the City of Viareggio.
“Free Thoughts” presents a constellation of heterogeneous artistic paths, each unfolding along deliberate and thoughtful lines that demonstrate how expressive freedom is also—and above all—the result of rigorous formative discipline. The exhibition explores the multifaceted identity of contemporary art in all its fascinating and diverse complexity, offering a platform for dialogue and exchange among different languages, techniques, and approaches.
Through their works, the artists construct multiple narratives rooted in structured backgrounds—firmly grounded in tradition yet capable of transcending it. What emerges are innovative and stimulating creations, where inventive freedom is revealed as the true outcome of solid artistic foundations. Each piece invites deeper engagement, calling to be analyzed, savored, and investigated for its narrative richness, expressed through infinite nuances of form and meaning.
The exhibition features twenty international artists from eleven countries: Italy, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Ukraine, Denmark, Hungary, Japan, the United States, Australia, and Norway.
