“Traces of the Invisible”, a solo painting exhibition by Nada Kelemen, opened on Thursday 20 November at 5:30 p.m. at Borgo Pio Art Gallery, Via degli Ombrellari 2, Rome, with a musical performance by Siryo Black. The exhibition was curated by art critic Monica Ferrarini.
In Nada Kelemen’s work, the canvas becomes a vibrant visual space: never a simple surface, but an energetic field in which colours expand, overlap and ignite in a dynamic that evokes natural forces and inner movement. Her abstract forms suggest states of being, primal emotions and cosmic and spiritual tensions.
Her visual language recalls the Expressionist tradition while remaining entirely personal and contemporary. Each material layer appears to arise from a profound intention. The canvas becomes an open space in which the viewer may become lost, rediscover themselves and be carried towards both an outward and inward contemplation of creation.
The expressive force of Kelemen’s palette is propelled by passionate marks and a living compositional structure. Matter becomes abstract form, vivid in the brilliance of intense colour, revealing both the hidden dimension of nature and the intimacy of the human spirit.
