The group exhibition “Stillness” opened on Saturday 24 January at 5:30 p.m. at the Galleria della Biblioteca Angelica, Via di Sant’Agostino 11, Rome. Curated by art critic Monica Ferrarini, the opening featured a musical performance by artist and musician Siryo Black.

Amid the chaos of the world, art is silence. Not an escape, but a place of arrival: somewhere thoughts may settle and time may expand. In art, stillness is not absence but deep listening—an intimate space in which chaos takes form and the elusive may be perceived.

“Stillness” is an invitation to slow down and restore depth to time. The works are not meant to be consumed but inhabited: spaces of silence and openings that invite listening and reflection. Through form, colour and material, the artists suspend judgement and open the way to deeper perception.

In an age dominated by speed and visual overstimulation, art becomes a contemplative act, an inner experience and a presence. In a world that is constantly accelerating, art teaches us to remain.
